Attention Pokémon trainers! This year we have prepared an exciting Pokemon videogame tournament for you. We have planned an exciting double battle tournament (VGC) in Pokemon Crimson and Crimson according to the official Pokemon Championship rules (Regulation G) on Convention Saturday, February 8th.

Procedure:
Depending on the number of participants, x Swiss rounds are played followed by top cut rounds (single elimination).
In Swiss, best-of-3 is played (30 minutes per Bo3) After the Swiss rounds, Bo3 Top8 elimination is played. (30min time per Bo3). After winning a match, please come in pairs to the tournament management for the match report.
On Saturday from 13:00 (registration deadline 12:45) the doubles tournament will take place according to the official rules of Regulation Set G.
Battle rules:
Players can use the following Pokémon:
● Pokémon caught in the Pokémon Crimson or Pokémon Purple games (including Pokémon Crimson and Purple: Treasure of Zone Zero (DLC)) All Pokémon in the Paldea Pokédex (no. 001 to 400), ○ the Kitakami Pokédex (no. 001 to 200), ○ and the Blueberry Pokédex (no. 001 to 242) are eligible as long as they were caught in Pokémon Crimson and Purple and have the Paldea mark.
● Pokémon transferred from Pokémon HOME
● Pokémon obtained from official events or distributions
A player’s team cannot contain more than one Pokémon with the same national Pokédex number.
Exactly one of the following Legendary Pokémon may be in the tournament team: Mewtu, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Cosmog, Cosmovum, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Zacian, Zamazenta, Endynalos, Coronospa, Koraidon, Miraidon, Terapagos
The following Pokémon are banned and may not be used: Mew, Arceus, Meloetta, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Magearna
A Pokémon can have any attack or ability that it can obtain in the normal course of the game.
This includes, but is not limited to:
● Hidden Abilities, if any
● Attacks and Abilities made available through an official Pokémon event or promotion
● Exception: Pokémon may not have the Friendship Ability.
Pokémon above and below Lv. 50 are allowed, but are automatically set to Lv. 50 leveled during battle.
Any regional Pokémon form that meets the above criteria and regulations may be used.
Team Lists
The 2025 Video Game Championship season will utilize an open team list format. Players must provide a legible and accurate list of the Pokémon that make up their team, which will be handed out at tournament registration. All Pokémon information on the team list (see below) will be made available to the opponent before the match begins, with the exception of Pokémon stats (Initiative, Attack, etc.).
Team List Contents
The team list should include the player’s name, ingame name, player ID if available, and date of birth, as well as the following information for each Pokémon:
● Pokémon species, including whether the Pokémon is a regional variant (such as Galarian) or a specific named form (e.g., Washer Rotom instead of Rotom). e.g. Wash Rotom instead of Rotom)
○ The name of the form is required if it is a form with different stats, types, abilities, attacks, weight or other battle statistics. (Examples include Pumpdjinn, Choreogel and Riffex.)
○ If the gender of the Pokémon affects the battle stats, the gender should be listed as the form. (e.g. Psiaugon and Servol.) The genders of Nidoran♀ and Nidoran♂ are part of their species names and should be included in the team list.
The shape name is not required if the shapes are purely aesthetic. are purely aesthetic in nature or are completely determined by other criteria listed on the team list. (Ex: Gastrodon, Crown Gem and Pokusan.)
● Ability
● Item held
● All known attacks
● Tera type
● Level (this should be the actual level at which the Pokémon is seen in the player’s party or box)
● All stats (HP/Attack/Defense/Sp.Atk/Sp. Defense/Initiative), recorded at the actual level of the Pokémon actual level
The language of the team list should be either German or English.
Items:
Each of the team Pokémon may carry one item, although two Pokémon cannot carry the same item. Only items that were available during normal gameplay or from official Pokémon events are allowed in this tournament.
Team Composition:
A player may not have two Pokémon with identical National Pokédex numbers on their team.
A Pokémon may have any attack or Ability that it may have during normal play. This includes:
● Hidden Abilities (if any)
● Attacks and Abilities inherited in the Pokémon Hoard from a Pokémon that was transferred to the game using Pokémon HOME
● Attacks and Abilities made available through an official Pokémon event or distribution event.
● All regional forms of a Pokémon that meet the above criteria may be used.
Timer:
● Battle time: 20 minutes
● Player time: 7 minutes
● Team preview: 90 seconds
● Round time: 45 seconds
